I hate vetoing trades especially in a league with most veteran owners but here is my proposal for the review process. Hopefully this gets the conversation going so we can get rules in place.
1. We use the Fantrax Objections- If less than 12 teams object within the time limit stated the trade is processed. If 12 teams object to a trade within 24 hour during the season and 72 hours in the off season we move to step 2 .
2. The trade will be put on hold. Allowing teams to state their concerns on the trade. We may want to have an official thread for this or we can just do it on chat.
3. After 72 hr of being on hold the trade will be revoted on by the league to be vetoed or processed. 12 owners must vote for a veto.
4. 250 K cap penalty for any team that does not vote.
Again this is just a starting point .

I would lower it to 10 as we're working with a pool of only 14 owners and I feel 12 is excessive. You couldn't get 80% of our league to agree the earth is round.

I like the idea team7 posted. I also agree with Brooklyn that it needs to be lower...10 sounds good to me. I do not like vetos either but don't think 1 person should have the power to decide if a trade should pass or not. that is too much power, especially for a commish that likes to trade as much as turtles...things could spiral out of hand fast and there is nothing that anyone could do except leave the league. this is not an accusation or thought that turtles would do this, just pointing out that it is too much power for one person to have.

I agree with the trade process that has been suggested however I'm not sure that a fine 250K for people that don't vote makes alot of sense.

I think the fine is just one more thing to manage. Why do it? If a trade is bad, the word will get out. If people don't vote it because they don't think the trade was lopsided.

Exactly. To fine would be dumb

I believe the rule was already written without the fine

Just want to confirm that in this league I am not allowed to value or devalue my own players and that this must be left up to the rest of the owners? This is correct? And also would like to confirm that in this league we are NOT allowed to go into a rebuild and shed CAP space in which to build for the future. Just wanted confirmation of these.
